front door

It’s official. I’ve moved. Well, sort of. I’ve gone from scribbling in my private, bedside journal to tapping on these pages with a world-wide view. Essentially, opening up that life journal to the world. Now instead of loafing on the porch and taking in the amazing blogosphere views, I’ve finally rented space next door. Ahhh! So refreshing and yet a little intimidating.  Haven’t quite learned my way around yet.  Posts, tags, links, oh my!

But then I’m reminded that most of the neighbors and passerby’s are friendly here.  And I’m hoping for company real soon. The kind that bee lines up the sidewalk, whole-heartedly knocks, and stands eager and ready for the door to swing wide open.

I’ll try to greet you with a smile every time, through the ups and the downs, and the twists and the turns. And I’ll even throw in some warm, virtual hugs on the days you trudge up weak-kneed and heavy-hearted. Borrowing from my sweet Savior, I’ll meet you right where you are as you take me just as I am.

Then we’ll let the Holy Spirit nudge us over to the well. The source. Where failures fade and fears fall. See, I invite you over to this place because I’m thirsty. Maybe you are too. The world leaves us dry and worn out in need of refreshing and reminding. Reminding of who we are in Him, in Christ. So that we can keep charging forward, keep pressing on in the faith. Filled up and overflowing. I’m not exactly sure where I’m going, but I know the direction I’m headed. Closer to Him as I draw near to the well. I so hope you’ll join me along the way.

“But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:14
