HEALING at the WELL
After years of living, less than fully, in the wake of chronic pain from herniated disks, I’m seeking Jesus the Healer– at the Well of His Word. Reaching for HIM while grasping for the hem of His garment. If you’re also seeking Him as Healer, let’s walk over to the Well of His Word together. I saved you a seat right next to me.
Drink up these verses with me, and be reminded that Jesus is our hope, and in His words my fellow “daughter,” He’s still our Healer.
Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment. Matthew 9:22
He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Mark 5:34
And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.” But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” Luke 8:43-48
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. Jeremiah 17:14
Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:4-6
O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. Psalm 30:2
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits– who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. Psalm 103:2-4
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. Matthew 9:35
But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. Malachi 4:2
